One deck below is promenade deck, on both sides a 3 metre covered sideway ideal for a ‘promenade’ gives her name to this deck. These sideways are also ideal to have a cocktail in one of the many wicker furniture while enjoying the sound of the sea against the hull when navigating. The size of the promenade deck is half of all the outside decks together on the yacht, which is 1100m².

Promenade deck from the aft.

The long table on promenade deck for 26 persons.
The outside aft section of this deck has two large tables. One of 7.20 metre by 1.30 metre on which 26 persons can sit, and the table can be covered with three parasols if wanted. The middel section of this table is movable, and as such two smaller tables can be made which is excellent for buffets and receptions. Besides this long table, there is at the complete aft a large round table with a fix bench and several wicker furniture chairs. This uncovered round table can sit 10 to 12 persons.
This complete area can sit (with adding tables and chairs) easily 100 persons, or a buffet for 200 persons can be spread over this section of the yacht and the boat deck. At the forward part of the two tables is a bar, divided in a outside and inside part. This bar is good to serve the outside part of this deck as a saloon named Delphine Lounge.

Bar of the Delphine Lounge.

Delphine lounge to the forward.
The Delphine Lounge has two parts divided by Corinthian columns and two red curtains. The aft part covers the bar as described earlier, a buffet Yamaha disklavier piano, a small Italian playing table and the staircase downstairs. The forward part is the sitting part of the lounge with sofa’s centralised around two low tables. The front wall has a painting with the representation of Delphine during one of the many speedboats races of the early days. Behind this painting is a Pioneer flat screen TV equipped with a dolby surround sound system. With closing the curtains this room is a good theatre.
Besides the Delphine Lounge there is a second lounge more forward on the promenade deck: smoking room. This is a cozy room with Chesterfield furniture. As facilities there is a small bar, flat screen TV and lavatory. As this room is separated from the rest of the accommodations (except the dining room underneath) this is a ideal place to read quietly a book, play card or have a drink.

The promenade deck also accommodates the toys of the yacht. Complete forward, in front of the smoking room there is the ‘garage’ containing 4 jet ski’s and 2 inflatable boats (one for 8 and one for 6 persons). Besides this Delphine can also have 4 tenders but for the moment there are only 2 old tenders ready. Both are located on the aft of the promenade deck, besides the large table. Even with the tenders onboard, there is still enough place to pass and serve comfortably. Those two tenders are dated 1927 and where made especially for Delphine. One is an utility tender while the other is a cabin runabout, each suitable for 10 persons and 2 crew. In the latter the guests sits inside a cabin and have a lavatory at their disposal.

A small word about the unique engines. SS Delphine is the only steam yacht of that size for charter. Due to only 80 to 100 RPM of the quadruples steam expansion engines there is no vibration of the engines. With this the 1920 ton vessel can go up to 10 knots.
